Moreno Valley covers 51.5 square miles. It is bordered by the San Gorgonio Pass and the Coachella Valley on the east, Lake Perris, Perris, and the San Jacinto Mountains on the south, the San Bernardino Valley and the San Bernardino Mountains to the north, and Riverside to the west. Moreno Valley shares March Joint Air Reserve Base with both Riverside and Perris. It is 60 miles east of Los Angeles, 50 miles west of Palm Springs and 100 miles north of San Diego.
